Official Atlanta Braves Thread

There is no way they are really this bad. There is no way they can sustain this level of mediocrity for an entire season. I've never seen anything like this.

Here's my idea for getting the offense going:

Move McCann to 3rd, Heyward 4th, and Chipper 5th.

I know mccann is sucking nuts these days, but after seeing him play the last 4 seasons i'm confident he can come out of this and go back to hitting .300 with some power. Having Heyward bat after him would guarantee he gets some good looks. While chipper clearly is not hitting like he once did, he still gets respect from pitchers around the league and I don't see too many people willing to walk Heyward in order to get to chipper.

Keep Prado in the two hole, and those three guys prado, mccann, heyward should be able to jump start the offense. There is no reason we should be relying on Chipper or Glaus right now.

Tell McCann to wear his damn glasses and it's a deal. Also, good call BF91 on Hinske in the outfield. He's definitely a guy that helps our lineup right now. I'd like to see him in the rotation there to get more at bats. The guy can hit.

Dear Braves,

Thanks for visiting Citizen's Bank Park....hope you enjoyed your stay and enjoy the rest of your road trip. Hopefully you get Heyward back soon as he is that offense.

That's better. Honestly though, the Braves struggles thus far have been ridiculous. I still contend that the team is not as bad as they've been hitting, but the shuffling of the lineup needs to stop and we need to get one consistent lineup going out there everyday. Once everyone gets healthy, go with:

Prado

Jones

Heyward

McCann

Glaus

McLouth

Escobar

Hinske/Diaz

There we go, take that and roll with it until they start hitting. It can't be any worse than putting Melky fuggin' Cabrera in the three-hole. :nono:

Wooo Glaus leadoff HR and Prado grand slam in the 6th inning! Hopefully blowing up against the Brewers will jump start our bats out of this ridiculous slump.

After watching the Braves so far this season 7 runs feels like scoring 20.

I like this lineup right here and i like how you have Heyward batting 3rd. Bobby had him 3rd tonight.

Off day on Thursday then a series against the NL's worst ERA in the D'backs. If all goes right we can come out of this week above .500 and right back on track. The really good news is that Bobby seems to be comitted to having Prado-Heyward-Jones as his top three in the lineup and Hinske is finally getting time in LF.

    • I don't think it's a homer though when I really feel this team can beat anyone.  The points that can be scored in bunches when the big three are on has high potential.  Moose has effort for days and IMO is the heart of the team.  And didn't see Miles becoming the team "vet" in the starting lineup just roleplaying lol.   We have to limit the turnovers though (Brandon Miller I'm looking at you bud, you are a bad ball handler) and some little things.   Colby off the bench is a cheat code and him and Kaulk have a nice little game going with the picks.    Sion playing every game and just getting better each game.  He has grit.  Grant and Green also grit.  We need replace Tillman with PJ Hall though.  Tillman looks like someone that shouldn't be on an NBA court, or at least with this team, he's just too slow for this tempo.   Even McNeely looked decent tonight and can drive.   If Kaulk and Moose could even be like 30% 3pt shooters man....
    • 1.) LaMelo 2.) Kon 3.} Miller 4.. Giannis 5.) Moose   1.) Coby 2.) ? 3.) Sion 4.) Miles Bridges 5.) Kalk That squad would win multiple chips.
