I am SOO Ready

I know I don't post much, but I've read this board just about everyday (during the season and off) since early in college. I was in fourth grade during the first season of the Panthers. Now I am 22, a recent graduate from NC State, and as excited as I've ever been to go to a game. My family has owned 4 PSL's since the first season, and I have rarely missed a game (mostly while I was in college). I went to every game the 1-15 year. As a graduation present my father gave me 2 of the PSL's.

Enough of my rant. I came on to say one thing. Everybody that goes to the game better bring the f'in pain. I don't want to see anybody in the stands (and that includes those in the silver seats) sitting down when our team is on defense. People need to understand this isn't a game this is the very essence of life and they need to act as such. Just don't take your shirt off (as I found out the hard way during the MNF game, which I think is ridiculous but that's a diffent story). So if you're going to the game and you have anyone around you that's not screaming, clapping hands, smashing their seats, or doing anything else that's loud as he!! when our team is on defense let them have it. You don't have to be rude or obnoxious to be loud and disruptive.

So I'm calling out all fans in the stadium on Saturday night, men, women and children, to make Kurt Warner and the rest of his clown posse's lives as miserable as he!!.

Let's ride this train all the way to the Super Bowl baby....

Also, I might try and stop by the tailgate to put faces with names.

You've been going to games since the first season and you just found out about the no-shirt thing?

You ought to try lighting up a cigar.

I've actually done both. I lit a cigar after the last home playoff game, and nobody around me cared as everyone was too excited to care.

As far as the no shirt thing goes, I was quite intoxicated and I didn't honestly think I would get "written up." I know it was against the rules, but for them to actually follow through with it was absurd. Everyone around me was encouraging it, especially when the security guy came up. What really got me was the night before the MNF game I was watching the Steelers game and what do I see on national TV? A guy in freezing temperatures with his shirt off pouring an ice cold cooler of water on himself. I can understand the no smoking and no cussing policies, but no shirt off? I don't think taking your shirt off makes you any better of a fan than the next guy, but does it really bother anybody? What do you do when you go to the beach or pool? You should've seen how bad the security guy got harassed on the way down the steps.

But as it is, I guess I will continue to bend over and pay my hundreds of dollars to an organization that needs to lighten up. At the end of the day I would rather keep my shirt on and be in the stadium than have my shirt off and get thrown out of the stadium.

    • There are several posters that only post negative at all times.   8 wins is a big jump from 5 and we still have 2 games.  Jaguars have a much more talented roster than us and have underachieved for years.
    • All of this noise is just setting us up to lose Week 18 and proclaim life's not fair. If there's one thing I know in my 30+ years of watching the Hornets and Panthers, is that the bad guy always wins in the end. A team can be falling apart internally but we will still lose to them. A team's fanbase can be extra shitty and cocky and they will just win anyway. It always happens
    • Well even if we took diverging paths getting there...our overall assessment of Shough is the same (bolded) lol so I guess that's what matters.  What you call "playing at a level that looks like a veteran starter" is the same thing I'm referencing when I talk about his poise.  Although I still wonder how truly "bad" of a team the Saints are.  Their defense is middle-of-the-road, and their offense does have some good pieces (Olave, Juwan Johnson) outside of running back which is the position most everyone agrees is relatively plug-and-play.  I'm not going to pretend to know anything about the majority of NFL team's o-lines lol but I'm assuming Saints are not great there, although Shough's pressure % seems to have been quite low (and steadily improving) over the last four weeks (20 -> 16.7 -> 15.0 -> 13.0) so maybe they've been playing better as of late, or perhaps Shough himself deserves credit for that.   Some of the language I'm hearing about Shough, including talking about how he's way above league average in several categories, makes it sound like Shough is having a rookie season on par with like a CJ Stroud who established himself as basically a Top 5-10 QB his rookie season.  Maybe that's on me though, I don't mean to attribute anything to you that I'm sure you don't agree with.
