City Confidential: Panther on the run

To be fair I don't think Pacman has ever been implicated in a homicide, in fact I don't believe he's ever been convicted of a felony.

Not in that sense, but in the way they both kept going to strip clubs and staying in the night life.

But also Pacman allegedly told some people to shoot at some other people, I also think he is accused of being involved in a woman that got shot who was pregnant.

Don't worry gang, when Big Cat gets his transplant, and we hoist the Lombardi in Tampa the ghost will be exorcised:party:

I think for the most part it has been. Players have had some scrapes with the law in recent years, but for the most part Charlotte has some of the higher character pro athletes of any sports town.

Carruth was canned the moment he was arrested. Jones and Owens were EMPLOYED by Dallas in spite of the way they are.

Again to be fair Owens is an ass for sure, but as far as I know he's never had any run ins with the law. In fact from what I've read he's actually fairly generous in his community relations.

This show doesn't have a clue... They just said the Caruth scandel made the Hornets leave, and Richardson wanting high character guys made the team weak........ Obviously this is an old production, but what BS, if they could only see us now.

They didin't exactly say that.

They said that it changed the way the Panthers scout players, which is very true.

And it said that the Hornets left cause Charlotte didn't want to buy a new stadium.

Well as usual at this time of night I'm pretty buzzed, but it sure sounded like they implied the Caruth scandel led to the downfall of Charlotte sports from a sports crazed town to one that didn't care leading to the Hornets departure.

It also sounded like they said the Panthers were bypassing talent in fear of troublemakers, and I'm sure they said the Panthers were still in Charlotte "for now". But eh like I said I'm buzzed and probably to sensitive, who cares.

    • At this point, I think Chubba is the odd man out. I hate that, but I think Dowdle gives us more production and big play ability.  But there is still a lot of football to play.  I think it depends on how much Dowdle will want too.
    • I’ve been anti-trade when it comes to Melo, but the way this season has started, it may be time.  I love his game and he’s a cool dude, but I’m starting to think, if he’s your best player, you’re never going to win anything of significance.  Too many brain farts, too many injuries, and ultimately for as fun and entertaining as he is to watch - his game is indeed a thing of beauty - it just doesn’t translate to wins.  And that’s IF he even plays.  I think it’s time to cash out and maximize the return.  I love Melo, but I think it’s pretty clear what the ceiling is for a team where he is the best player.
    • Every NFL team, college program, hell even HS has numerous "what ifs" that got derailed by injury. It's a brutal sport and half the battle is just getting lucky enough to stay healthy. Doesn't matter how durable you are and how well you take care of your body everyone is one weird hit or awkward twist away from a career derailing injury.
