No, because C-3PO is a protocol droid designed to serve humans. He is a translator or intermediary that is fluent in over six million forms of communication.

He is not a battle droid. R2, on the other hand, is a very clever little droid.

Being an Astromech droid, R2 gould easily pilot it... I dunno how good his aim is though, but one would think there is some sort of auto targeting feature available to him via scomp link access...

Btw, I just made this post with my very own droid, while sitting on the can...
