Blessing in Disguise

This game is going to get you guys an NFL Championship in the next 3 years.

I'm going to give you a few seconds to think about that .......

Never again will your team let a team come into your house and outplay you, outcoach you, and outwant you. Never again. Your team is going to feel the pain your feeling at the time I posted this. They are going to feel it all offseason.

It will unite your team.

This won't ever happen again, and you'll be a little better next year. And the primary reason you'll be better, is because your loss to the Arizona Cardinals by 20 points in the playoff is going to motivate an entire franchise to make very very sure they win this kind of football game.

Hell, this might even be what it takes to keep the fire alive until a new heart shows up. This game might even save the life of a very incredible man.

The fire to fix what happened tonight, and to make sure it never happens again, is going to give your team the mental toughness it takes to build a Superbowl winner.

This was it. This was what you needed. Never again will this happen. I promise.

It was a blessing in disguise, and that will be the understatement of 2009.

We'll meet again next year. At your place. And you'll kill us. Because of this game.

I think it's going to be next year that you win a Superbowl. Because of this game.

Take your win and leave. It's one thing to be humble it's another thing to be a complete asshole. Which are you? if you are the later, I think I will put you on ignore.

*ducks his tail, and droops his ears*

Sorry. I'll leave now.

But do remember this post when the heartbreak subsides... sometime in the next week or so.

You guys will be fine.

Cya. Jangler said go. Its his house. I go. Maybe I'll pop in on the offseason. I"ve researched your team so well this week, I feel like a fan almost.

it is hard to see tone in typed words... is he being an asshole or is he being encouraging to a beat down group of fans?

I hope for the latter.. thanks for the encouragement, I hope you're right. This offseason is critical.... I hope everything settles well with the team. They had really gelled. It might take half a season to get that level of fellowship back. We'll see.

Enjoy the win, good luck with the Giants, can't wait till the rematch.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.
    • Start posting in threads in the other forums instead of just creating threads. No one comes over here so you aren't starting conversations.  Get your ass up to 100 posts. It's not that hard. Don't create 100 posts. Contribute to conversations.
    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
