Yuk, he isn't as good of a scorer as Felton but is probably about as good of a distributor. He is also 30 years old.

I would rather have Duhon or .... Shannon Brown.

blake gets disrespected. hes been on a few teams already, teams always to regret after trading/losing him.

he knows his role and does it well. doesn't bitach and is coach-able. id welcome him as filler.

I do. Steve Blake has never had a PER of at least 15, the watermark for a decent player, in his entire career. Since just one stat doesn't tell the entire story, let's look at a pair of lines, each at per 36min.

Player 1: 9.8pts 6.3ast 2.1to

Player 2: 12.4pts 4.7ast 1.8to

Player 1 has more assists, but Player 2 scores more and turns the ball over less. Player 1's best years are on par with Raymond Felton's, the PG we're all so ready to run out of town, worst years. Player 1 has been in the NBA seven years and shows no signs of improving. While Player 2 had a sophmore slump, his year was still on par with what Player 1 has consistently done. Player 1 is Steve Blake, Player 2 is DJ Augustin. Blake would be a decent back-up to Augustin if we have to settle for that, but we need to set our sights higher.
