49ers Game

I think I'm going to go home to NC, visit the family, and go to this game. Will there be a lot of 49ers fans at this game? I know they have a large fan base across the country. Just wondering if they will have a large turnout for this game. I went to the Eagles game last year and was surprised at how many Eagles fans were there.

Well, that usually happens when the home team sucks! If the Panthers get on a roll this season I don't think you will have to worry about opposing teams fans getting tickets.

It does help when the team is doing good. But even during our better seasons its still a damn disgrace to see the amount of people in the stadium pulling for the other teams. I usually end up having unwanted conversation with these morons and it always amazes me of the amount of locals. These are the worst. Fug em all!

I remember. I also remember the huge column of eagle fans that walked right past our parkinglot. It was a digusting display. In the words that exchanged with some of them it was very apparent that several of them were not Philly natives or even northerners. Sounded like a bunch of retards from gaston county. No offense to gaston county but you know what i mean.

I agree with you about hating the situation.

However, I do understand it in many ways. We are still a VERY young franchise and Charlotte is purely a transplant city. Many people living here grew up fans of other teams....their families were fans of those teams for generations. Those ties are very hard to break.

I think the Panther fanbase will grow as time goes on and the older generation dies out. There are still a plethora of Redskin fans in NC. Seems like most Panther fans are younger people.

i understand to a point. I grew up another team fan and still have season tickets to that team. However i wanted to have that sense of pride in an NFL team in the city i live in. When we got the Panthers I became pure Panther. I still like my other team but I am a Panther fan! First and foremost!
