Things I was wrong about

I assumed that the secondary would be fine. Moreover, I assumed that they would collectively know what their assignments should be.

I assumed that the TEs would be able to take advantage of a flat emptied due to overloading the box on Gross' side.

I assumed that the left side of our line would be able to handle the pass rush.

I had HOPED that our line would be able to hold up while Otah was out:

Lastly, I had assumed that Stewart and Williams would see more playing time. For whatever reason, I saw a lot more of Goodson in the backfield today than what I would have expected.

Lastly, I assumed that Moore would get the ball out of his hands quicker than he did. However, all in all, I lay this loss at the feet of our Oline and our corners. Had they held up their ends and known their assignments, we would have won this game.

The mental mistakes are correctable. The right side of the line concerns me much more.

    • Im not sure Rozeboom doesn’t get re-signed, the rest of the LB room doesn’t being any production. Boom has over 90 combined tackles. He’s not a world beater by any means, but he’s volume tackled. We’ve no other LB that have shown the ability to do that and it’s absolutely needed. Without Boom we have the same problem we had for the games Jewell missed last year. Trevin Wallace is a cut line player on a good team.
    • Take a page from Shitsburghs playbook. Where Rogers holds his balls to keep them warm and watches...
    • I was talking to my homeboy about this as soon as RG3 said it. Bryce is way too small to sneak. And the way that defense was set up, I knrew anything up the middle would get obliterated. The pitch to Rico was the right play. Also, they havent practiced with anyone doing half yard dives. So insinuating try someone else other then Dalton (and that wouldnt have work but best option) wouldve been catastrophic because nobody had practiced it.
