Did anybody ever play this game?

I LOVED this game when I was a kid.

It was the first racing game I ever played where you weren't limited to a certain route. You could take short cuts or just drive around the city if you wished.

Because of this game I bought midtown madness 3 but it wasn't good at all. The cars on the interstate drove the same speed that they did on the streets which was asinine and the cars felt indestructible, even the traffic was indestructible.

That open environment was revolutionary IMO. Amazing.

I feel like they could remake this game for the next video game console it would be great.
