At the half: Ravens 17, Panthers 3

The Panthers got a field goal in the second quarter, and when we look back on this game, that may be considered a triumph of the human spirit.

The game plan is not drawn with visions of Brian St. Pierre throwing downfield. In fact, they'd prefer he not have to throw at all.

The Ravens are kind of toying with them at the moment, up 17-3 at half.

A long Baltimore drive ended with nothing when Ray Rice fumbled and Panthers DE Tyler Brayton recovered.

As highlights go, it wasn't much for the home crowd. But on a day when a good portion of suburban Maryland made the trip south, home crowd is kind of relative.

Rice made up for it on the next drive, scoring from a yard out to make it a two-touchdown lead.

The Panthers simply can't move the ball as presently constructed, as a Jon Beason forced fumble that gave them the ball in Ravens territory yieled nothing.
