Five-ten years from now, how will Fox be remembered in Charlotte?

Saint J

Recommended Posts

Right now he is public enemy number one and has been since the Arizona loss for most people, but how do you think he will be remembered as a coach five-ten years from now? For example,Aaron Brooks was one of the most hated people in New Orleans from 04ish until he was cut but now in 2010 he is looked upon as the QB who brought th Saints their 1st playoff win and an above average QB without a competent staff or defense.

also fox is not public enemy number one

you do not seem to have a firm grasp on the situation

right i get that the season was a throw away, i'm just speaking from experience after seeing all the Fox memes around here and the countless threads complaning about gum or it is what it is.

I will think of Fox as a guy who got more out of average players than expected and never got the most out of his athletically superior players.

Once I read he never wanted his team to high or to low, just in the middle emotionally. I believe that is true and as such his teams played to the emotional level of whomever they faced. Thus, played down to the level of their competition.

I will remember him positively, but I will never forget how many wins I feel he left on the field by being afraid to finish.

    • I don't know. CMC is like others and may have lip serviced that line of " I had no plan or wanted to leave Carolina" I think he even said he bought a house too and wanted this to be home.   Here's what I heard- In a way Panthers org gave him a test and he didn't "fight" back. They approached CMC and told him they wanted to put him on IR since the "season" was over or out of playoff reach. CMC didn't fight it one lick and agreed. They secretly wanted him to kept playing or want to, but there was no kickback. I honestly don't know if its real or not, 5th hand information type deal doing on. Yes he had bruises and pains, but was able to play...... but went along with Panthers staff. Odd to be playing games with star players, but whatever....   Plus the staff doctors found out about his tendinitis and there was nothing to fix it. Even with him missing time, it was the best move to trade him before he got inflamed constantly.    Lastly, its mostly time a combo of stuff, Fitterererere did not sign him to be the highest paid RB. That was classic Marty "give me a" herniay doing. GMs have different values on roster spots and rumor was Fitterererer was one that didn't want to pay RBs. For all his faults, he's right about that......
    • I think google is confusing signing bonus with guaranteed money. If you get a guarantee of say $10 million, it doesn’t matter if the signing bonus is $5 or $8 million, it’s the $10 million number that affects the cap, as the signing bonus is always just a portion of the guaranteed money anyways. And again, I’ll admit I’m not 100% sure about it, but I’m pretty sure it is the case.
