Gruden wasn't that great at all.

Gruden won a SB and yes many want to credit that to the coach before him, but still, he's been there, he carried that team there, he made the decisions, and it doesn't mean a coach can't get better over the years and he hasn't gained experience. He's also the anti-Fox, passionate, and brings the type of intensity I want to see from my coach. With the right assistant coaching staff, I see Gruden being perfect.

Honestly, I can't think of a better face and personality for the Panthers than Gruden. He would completely re-energize this fan base and would sell just as many tickets by being here as our top players themselves. I honestly would go to the game just to see him coach and get pissed off on the sidelines.

Pats don't really have true coordinators currently. Belichick is the overall brain. Everyone that has come out of NE has been a complete flop.

I don't think Carolina is waiting on the playoff teams to finish. Who are you thinking of? Carolina is pretty set in stone about a DC.

But that's my point. They may not have the brain themselves, but one of them may just have the memory :)

      I was playing around with the ESPN playoff predictor and it shows if 49ers and Rams finish with same record, the Rams hold the tiebreaker.

      This is my thinking as well. Seattle played as good as they could on defense and Panthers still had a chance until those back to back turnovers.  I don't think the Rams played particularly well in their game against us, alot things went our way in order to win.  Someone pointed out the Rams were bad on the east coast road games and Seattle has been the better road team but they just fought a hard contested game against the Panthers, and now they travel to San Fran this week for their biggest game of the season to determine the division and if they are the overall #1 seed in the NFC or will be traveling for the Wildcard weekend.  If they lose they then travel back cross the country to play a team they've just beaten two weeks ago, not saying they won't be favored against the Panthers but the energy of hosting our first playoff game in 10 years along with the get back effect of having just lost to this team could be huge.
