The SEC was down this year. Also, it's been said time and time again that being a winner means nothing in college in terms in NFL success.

Cam is very raw in terms of being a passer.

To answer your original question, he could go top 10 based on potential but more like mid/late round 1.

He should be round 2 based on his current skill set.

SEC IS DOWN...WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT. The SEC has won 5 straight titles... Get out of here with that B.S ACC Homer. Cam Newton is a round 2 based on skill set. He had the highest passing efficiency rating in NCAA history and ran for over 1000 yards in the hardest conference in college football.
