In 2009: Panthers the 4th most dangerous team...

In the NFL there are two things that can make a team "dangerous". Being able to run the ball or a very a solid all around defense that can create turnovers. Teams that can have either one of these asspects should be able to compete in every game no matter the opponent.

Defenses like Dallas and Philly that rely heavily on rushing the passer from different types of blitzes can have success but can also struggle when faced agaisnt a running team. Offenses like Arizona or New Orleans can have success throwing the ball but a lot of times that allows the opposing time to win the TOP, keeping your defense on the field longer and eventually wearing them down towards the end of the season. (BTW, if the Cardnials purposely took their foot off the pedal to in an effort to save themselves for the playoffs, that was geniuess!)

So the Panthers should be considered a dangerous team. That doesn't mean they are going to win a lot of games or make the playoffs but with the running game they will be able to compete with every team they face. Much the same as this past season.
