If they secure singletary for the linebackers it will be one monster d unit, in madden the awareness would go up by like 10 points on the d side. Get that San Diego coordinator for offense and there should be not alot of excuses for fast devolopement. Atleast with Ron Riveria you know were gonna be agressive as hell on both sides of the ball.

The Carolina Panthers have made their offensive coordinator decision, and are now only waiting for a contract to be finalized.

The Panthers have agreed to a deal with former San Diego assistant head coach/tight ends Rob Chudzinski to be their new play-caller, according to two league sources.

They apparently aren't going to be adding UFL coach Jay Gruden, who interviewed here over the weekend.

Jim Gruden, the father of candidate Jay and former Bucs coach Jon, said that his son told him Monday he was out of the mix.

"He said it looked like they were going to hire the guy from San Diego," the elder Gruden said.

    • Names I'd keep an eye on... Coby White,  Jalen Suggs, Amen Thompson  and Stephen Castle...  3 teams except Orlando has checked on Melo before and rumblings of sours getting rid of fox too. I'd think they think Melo and Wemby would make them nuclear out west.
    • Well he somehow had 12 preseason carries for not playing. He also has 20 carries in the regular season, not three. He has actually played in about 7% of the offensive snaps for this regular season(33% of the special teams snaps). This isn't stuff you have to make up, these are very easily referenced statistics, man.
    • It's not common for a RB to recover from two ACL tears in the same knee. It's fairly rare. You are correct that it isn't the career ender that it used to be but there is also the fact that we appear to have largely moved on with the additions of Dowdle and Etienne.  Dobbins is a very good example. He has basically missed 54% of his career regular season games since he came into the league in 2020. It will end up being 57% at the conclusion of this season. It's a big contributing factor to why he is on this third NFL team in 6 years. It's certainly possible that may be 4 by the beginning of next season. I would say there is very little chance that Brooks ever contributes in any meaningful way in Carolina. Possibly with another team but I am extremely skeptical of his future here because of those injuries and because of the roster.
