This is it!!! This is the Eastern Conference series we've all been waiting for. The Heat's Championship hopes go thru Boston. The only way they can take the crown is proving they are better than the defending Eastern Conference Champs. This series is hard to predict. Boston has owned the Heat, Bron, & Wade separately for the past few years. But the Heat are coming off a HUGE win over them late in the season and all say they have had this one marked on the calendar for quite some time. My gut tells me Celts are too strong and too clutch for the Heat. But I am gonna take the Heat in 7 games to get past the C's. I will say, to beat the Celtics, the Heat WILL HAVE TO win a game in Boston to get by them. Cant wait to watch this one go down.

Ok I am changing my opinion. Going into the playoffs I had Miami going to the NBA Finals but I have switched to Boston in 7.

Just watching the Heat, they look to lack motivation and urgency. Maybe they will turn it on vs. Boston but I am sticking with the C's. Celtics basically have a advantage at every position with washes at SG and SF.

Rondo will be a huge factor in this series because of who they'll put on him. Put Wade on him than Allen will beat you or the same with LeBron, than Pierce will. Man I want the Heat in the finals for excitement alone but it will be tough I am sticking with Heat in 7. Will be a physical series without question will be interesting to see how Bosh shows up to play.

I watched some of the game last night, Heat vs. Sixers... man I was disappointed. It was everything I hate about the NBA... and I really like LeBron and DWade, but it's SO BORING.

That's not basketball, it's stand around and watch someone shoot, then grab the rebound. I doubt I'll watch much more...

I'm still backing the Heat. Heat in 5.

Celtics were really impressive vs the Knicks, but I think that was more about the Knicks missing Amare/Billups and their lack of chemistry then it was about the Celtics.

Could easily see this going 7, but if Miami takes the first two games, pretty decisively, they should roll.

I'm not judging here, but dude you were watching the Heat and SIXERS. What did you expect?

Tune into Heat and Celtics for what is going to be a battle.

Heat in seven.

Heat go up 1-0. 38 points for Wade today, 25 for James Jones off the bench, and 22 points, 6 boards, 5 assists, 2 blocks, and 2 steals for King. Boston looks scared and naturally resorted to the "dirty" stuff when it was clear they're too old. Heat looked like the much better team today.

    • Right, so basically what I said in my first post about this last night. Tepper needs to use that big wallet of his in one of the few ways it can be used in the NFL given the cap.   Give Scourton a bigger signing bonus but not a fully guaranteed deal. Everyone wins in that scenario as if Scourton is smart and hires good money people, he'll take that bigger signing bonus and use it to make more money in the end over the next 4 years than if he just had his fully guaranteed deal and a smaller signing bonus.
    • It is all confusing and layered. SB is the cash you get very soon within weeks or in simple terms, its what you get to sign the paper work. Players and agents can agree on contract but what to "wait" to sign......teams don't like that cause you can "Carlos Boozer" yourself. In order to get that ink dry, while keeping the contract the same, portion it as a bonus to "sign" and get the funds with ________ .   * But Ive seen worded contracts that split the SB or a 20% to a later date. The beans counters can fill in the details about why certain dates are better and save the team money.. Theres tricks to the trade and accounting is full of them.    Ugh another big layer, is SB can be used to manipulate cap and players. Ill try to give a example that makes enough sense. Believe it or not having a owner like Tepper is a cheat code for this. He has cash in hand, where as Mark Davis had problem making pay roll and had to move the team to Vegas....... Tepper can give you 100,000,000 SB right now and the team can spread out the cap hit. Another owner doesn't have or want to give the player 100,000,000 in cash, but offered the same guaranteed contract in roster bonuses fully guaranteed over the next few years........ Which one do you want??? Everyone wants the money now, not before another inflation waves hits in 2 years. So it does 'pay" to have a owner like tepper that's able to have real cash on hand, while it also works GREAT for cap help. Heres a good video, if you can stand coked up pat and mask look-a-like AJ
