John Saunders 'parting shots' on Sports Reporters: Character Issues in NFL

Most people with "character concerns" don't change and it's evidenced in plenty of statistics.

People that make bad decisions can learn from them and not make them again but usually their character doesn't somehow change.

If you are a bad person, you usually stay a bad person but learn to hide it better. If you are a good person, you usually stay a good person.

***Not saying anyone is a bad person specifically because I didn't watch the clip but just clarifying the difference between bad character and a bad decision.

For example, I believe Michael Vick is a terrible person and hasn't changed a bit but just learned to cover his actions better.

It seems as if Cam made some bad decisions but isn't a terrible person, time will tell.

Everybody will have there own opinion on this I feel people can mature after making mistakes in the past and until that proven otherwise don't judge them. Yes you have people that will continue to make the same mistakes over an over again and than you have the "success storys" just depends on the person.

Please no more Vick debates :nonod:

"stealing" something from work... so you walked out with a coworkers computer, monstercat? haha

the thing is that Cam's grown since he did the sh*t he did, so that is why he got picked #1... not because the sh*t he did wasn't a big deal.

No I haven't. I don't believe Cam stole the laptop either...he bought it from someone else who did, from what I understand. Lots of people have done that and worse, yet they still turned out to be good people.

I'd like to know what the dept of justice is trying to prove to us when they show these statistics, that their system of rehabilitation is terrible?

Tell me what their motivation would be for showing these statistics?

Usually when they are manipulated, they are for the person's benefit when trying to make a point.

What in the hell does the department of justice have to do with Cam Newton? Jesus dude. Just stop.

I specifically said this is not about Cam and put him in the category of making mistakes, not being a bad person.

Please re read the discussion. It's about whether people with real character concerns can change.

Not everything is about Cameron Newton.

I agree but there is a difference between making mistakes and being a bad person.

"bad" people make mistakes it's the reason they have that label whether they can change or not depends on the person. Saying all bad people can't change there character for the better is a blanket statement. I've known people that have done some stupid sh1t in the past, learned from it and changed there life around for the better. Not because they learned to hide there actions but because the change maybe is sincere in order to not face the same consequence they faced in the past.

Like I said until you can prove otherwise don't judge them.
