Being heavily involved in the ministry, I've seen many-many-many people leave all the trash they dealt with earlier in life and turn into great people.

So i respectfully say, you can take those stats and piss all over 'em in a fire.

Someone heavily involved in religion wanting to ignore facts?

Color me shocked

I would be interested in seeing how often people commit crimes after being given a second chance. Obviously it wouldn't tell us anything concrete about Cam Newton's future but for the debate on the Cam Newton pick, in which the concept of second chances repeatedly pops up, it would offer some insight on how second chances work in general.

I think its all about choices. I believe it can be done, but it requires making the right choices, like choose where to go and when. Who you hang out with, etc. If Cam surrounds himself with the right people it can work. I haven't spoken to him, but I know our team has, they have an idea, but not even they no for sure. Who knows what will happen once he gets accustomed to the big time. But it can be done. I wouldn't even pretend like there isn't a chance he will screw up because there is, but I really hope it doesn't, and for now, I think he can handle it.

so you're saying because he screwed up that once, he's probably likely to screw up 5 more times, since, you know, thats the average of the statistic you googled?

He wouldn't be considered a criminal for the incidents he's had since he was never incarcerated.

If I can find a statistic for something related to the likelihood of committing more crimes or getting in more trouble for those that have had cases dropped due to pretrial diversion programs.
