Southport is hopping on the Panthers bandwagon

I was wearing one of my Panthers t shirts in the Southport ( NC) wal mart a few days ago and saw somebody with a Panthers hat a couple of aisles over.

Yup the take over has begun. :)

When I lived in Southport I thought I was the only one. Too many damn Steeler fans down there. My 'rents are Panther fans though so all is well in the port.

When I was growing up around Southport, we just had the Cougars and Maxway.

I was at a track meet at South Brunswick High in the 90's and there is one image that is burned into my brain from that day. A group of students were parked in one of the lots and had that song "Doodoo Brown" blasting as loud as possible from a car. They were all dancing around the car and replayed that song like 15 times in row.
