2008-09: Rask played for the Leksand club this season. In 26 games for the J-18 squad, he scored 9 goals and added 6 assists for 15 points. Rask also played for the U-16 squad, scoring 3 goals and adding 7 assists for 10 points. In international play for Sweden's U-16 team, Rask scored 2 goals and added 3 assists for 5 points in 11 games.

2009-10: Playing for Keksand's J-20 Super Elite squad, Rask scored 22 goals and added 19 assists for 41 points in 39 games. In 5 playoff games, he scored 3 goals and added 2 assists for 5 points. Playing for Leksand's J-18 squad, Rask scored 6 goals and added 3 assists for 9 points in 10 games. In 4 playoff games, he scored 4 goals and added 3 assists for 7 points. Rask played for Sweden at the 2010 World U-17 Hockey Challenge, scoring 1 goal and adding 7 assists for 8 points in 6 games. He also played for Sweden at the 2010 U-18 World Junior Championship, scoring 3 goals and adding 2 assists for 5 points in 6 games for the silver medalists.

2010-11: Playing for Leksand in the top minor league in Sweden, the Allsvenskan league, Rask scored 5 goals and added 6 assists for 11 points in 37 games.
