Everything about Newton sounds almost too good to be true. Either that or we just aren't used to having a guy of his *potential* caliber play QB for us.

Clausen has deeply studed all the check down spots and the amount of arm strength it takes to throwthe ball out of bounds.

I wonder if Clausen actually learned it then?

I actually like Clausen And I think he can be a good QB. Im just starting to wonder if he wants to just be in Carolina anymore. A strong guess says No. Because he know he can be the odd man out of the mix real fast.

I agree 100%.

Although, in the middle of a game... seeing how quickly he picks stuff up and goes with it, is another thing.

Cam will start. The offense is built around him. Literally the only thing Clausen has on him right now is more consistent accuracy. Cam is bigger. Better pocket presence. Arm is bigger. He can run, instead of fall like a child. Doesn't seem like a difficult decision to me.

Clausen is accurate up to about 10 feet?

It seems almost impossible to bust Cams confidence, but I wouldn't risk throwing him out there if they don't feel he is ready.

    • I could be waaaaaaay off about Kon. I do fault myself into, to borrow a NFL phrase heavily "RAS" nerd on players, too much. There are PLENTY of athletic freak shows that are playing overseas(or Amazon delivery) cause they never figured out NBA ball. I can easily miss seeing the talent. Plus did he only have 2 dunks on the season??(is that for real??) I didn't watch over a few hours of duke, but not one point did I think "That Kon guy is a top 4 pick in the upcoming draft". IMO I still foresee Ball bringing the ball up, doing his weak isolation game and never even looking for Kon. That's his best trait according to everyone, shooting right? I do not see ball, bridges, miller or even williams making the extra pass to Kon for him to shoot a 3.  Then defense-wise, Im not ready to type the amount of questions I foresee in his ability for guarding NBA SGs or bench SFs for that matter. Not that NBA players care to defend, but still..... I just feel he's a bad fit for the current hornets, trades are taking place tho... Liam to me is a decent comp for Kon and he fell some, but was a 29 overall pick. Still around 13-21 was the good solid range for Liam and I thought the same for Kon. This is just a classic case of I need to see it. It add to this, Kon is like garlic. Ball is like sugar and Miller is like flour. Mix it together and chef Lee is not going to get me to eat that dish..... Honestly I don't know why Im this vocal about Kon. In past years I would be patience and not post and see what the kid has. The other side, insert classic white boy terms here- _____, ______, _______< etc >. Hornets do desperately need them. His crafty back door cuts, his willingness to stay a extra 2 hours to refine lees plays, keep playing with bruised limbs. I heard from many reports he's mentally tough and hornets by all gods need that. God they are such pussys.  I hope Im wrong and if so, I will give Kon his just props.
