Gross: Everything's different about camp from Fox years, whether it's drills, plays, even what time they eat.

Feels we're in a sleeper-type situation with the team getting no respect. Starting fast this year is huge for the team, thinks we can build momentum if we win early.

Going to keep doing what they've been good at when it comes to run schemes, sprinkled with a few new things.

Cam's been as advertised and doing a good job, and Jimmy's done an amazing job in camp considering the situation he was in last year.

Olsen: Happy to come to a team that he favored during the draft, likes the offense, wants to help out.

Thinks he and Shockey can be huge weapons in Chud's offense, especially with play-action.

Surprised the segment was only about 5 minutes long.

Hurney: Training camp has been exciting. Rivera moved the practices to 6-ish to 9-ish to foster both good practices and fan interaction. Fan attendance has been through the rough compared to the past few years.

There's an energy about the team that they haven't had under Fox in many, many years.

Improvement among the team has been great day-to-day. Both QBs have shown flashes of brilliance, along with the mistakes that need to be worked out.

Despite a difficult season last year & the #1 pick being used on Cam, Jimmy never complained, came in & worked hard to have a good week of training camp.

Have used the tight ends in TC more in the past week than we have the past 6 years under Fox. Getting Shockey, Olsen for a 3rd, & Hartsock was great. Feels that we have 4 TEs that can be really good for us.

Knows that fans have been frustrated by WR situation the past few years. Got some bad news with Gettis on the knee injury today. Really likes Naanee, his size & speed (4.4x 40), very athletic. That, coupled with his knowledge of the system should make him good here. Armanti showing a ton of progress. Pilares is VERY fast, thinks he can be a great slot receiver.

Loves the guys that are apart of the staff. Rivera was very methodical in constructing the staff.

Majority of reps in the pre-season will go to Jimmy & Cam. Anderson will be in the games sometime in the second half. Cam & Jimmy should share time into the third quarter.

Feels tight ends are a very hard position to find good players at. When we had the chance to get Olsen (who knows & fits the system well), we jumped on it.

Eric Norwood doing good, showing flashes. Really liked what he did at South Carolina, which is why they took him in the 4th. Feels he's a strong football player with his hand in the ground.

Ron Edwards was a huge loss. He had surgery this morning. A guy that's important in the meeting room, film room, & locker room. Will help just being around the players, even if he can't play.

    • Sometimes its fun to read the threads/posts.  The panthers could literally hire a groundskeeper and we'd have a thread "improving the field for no other reason to prop up Bryce Young".  Apparently no move is ever done to actually make the team better.  All a conspiracy to just focus on Bryce Young. Or suddenly daydreaming and reminiscing about Sam Darnold when he was hated more than Bryce Young.  Its really fun to do a message board search about Darnold during that time period.   Or thinking there is just a tree that grows QB, and you can just easily go up and pluck one.
    • Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
    • Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.
