A wasted roster spot, really? Injuries happen to Qb's, and I'd keep Clausen around as long as I could for cheap just for insurance. 2 Qb's are not enough, no matter what teams "get away" with it.

Put a QB on the practice squad like other teams do. Clausen or another one, doesn't matter.

If 2 QBs go down in a game, who's to say 3 won't?

In other words, one hypothetical is as hypothetical as another.

You could actually have a defensive player who plays, as opposed to a 3rd QB doing nothing but walking around.
