Tired of the Kirkpatrick hype.

Still doesn't look like just some fat guy. He's only listed as 1 lb heavier than Brockers and like half an inch shorter. He's basically the same mold, he's an athletic mobile DT also. I'd rather have Brockers, myself. But maybe you're thinking of Ta'amu. He's "just some fat guy". Even Poe is really athletic for his size, but he's more of a "just some fat guy" than Still.
maybe. i just haven't been all that impressed with still. he seems like much more of a reach at that spot and doesn't seem to be all that dynamic a player.

he's got legit concerns about his motor, lack of explosion, and stamina that i just don't see with brockers.

looking at the two side by side, it might be just me but it looks like still is more maxed in his frame than brockers and i wouldn't be surprised to see brockers show himself to be stronger in the bench press. dude is just one of those county strong kind of guys. he grew up on a farm doing hard work so he's got a lot of natural strength that you don't get in a weight room.

i don't know...i think i'm bordering on mythifying him. :o

Heh, I'd rather have Brockers too, he does look more solid, and I was never of the opinion we should draft Still with our #8/9. I'm just saying Still is pretty much the same style of DT as Brockers.

I'm gonna update my draftdebacled mock with us taking Brockers sometime this weekend probably.

first two picks need to be CB and DT. Now whichever order happens to be the better sequence depends on the talent available at 8/9.

agreed....at least that would be ideal, anyway.

my top two choices are claiborne and brockers in that order, but it all gets kind of muddy after that.

i think jenkins is a better corner, but i like kilpatricks size and aggression. i'd be happy with either one and if forced to i'd probably toss a coin.

i like dontari poe more than still. i think still is more accomplished and has a higher floor, but poe has some things about him that could make him one of the more dominant forces in the league...kind of in a haloti ngata way which i've seen him legitimately be compared to. poe is kind of like brockers in that he's got really untapped potential, but he's got the drive and the motor to get where he needs to be.

i would be tickled as anything if we wound up with two of caliborne, brockers, kilpatrick, jenkins, or poe. i don't think it's realistic, but i sure would like to see that happen.

I dont get this DT stuff when we just drafted 2 DT's last year

Unless its positive a DT can come in right away and put up atleast 5 sacks, I dont get it

exactly... any rookie DT that comes in will still have that same learning curve we went through last yr...

i just want Dre kirk, then O-Line... and another OLB in the 4th. and a true return man in the 5th

if it's a guy like brockers or even poe late i don't think we can afford to pass up. BPA.

same goes for some of the WRs. not really an immediate need and not high on the list of priorities, but still a need and a value that shouldn't be passed up.

its a short list of DTs that i want. pretty much just those two guys.

i don't think that brockers or even poe would have that kind of learning curve. they are more of the quick learners and immediate impact guys that we should be targeting and they are better than the two guys we have now.
