2012 Dodgers Thread

Dodgers taking on their most hated rivals right now, the San Francisco Giants.

You can simply refer to them as "The Hated Ones".

Mattingly announces today the move to Kenley Jansen as closer. (About time)

Javy Guerra has earned his spot in the back of the pen.

Hope the Big Dodger in the sky smiles down on us.

Great to hear Jansen's finally getting the nod. Awesome game tonight I wish I would've made it down.

22-11. Best in the NL.

I can smell the World Series in May.

I don't know who is really better than Dodgers, but things can change a lot from now till playoff time. Washington, if they can get everyone back and healthy, and with that pitching staff, could make a run. Also, Braves have a good young team with some good pitching too. To me, those 3 teams are the best in the NL right now. St. Louis is close too.

I just can't think of two better players to have on your team than Matt Kemp and Clayton Kershaw.

Kershaw throws the Complete Game shutout tonight versus the Cardinals. Drops his ERA to under 2.

The Dodgers continue to roll despite Matt Kemp on the 15 Day DL for the tweaked hammy.

The Big Dodger in the Sky continues to smile down on Chavez Ravine now that the evil Frank McCourt has been purged form Blue Heaven on Earth.

Great series thus far, I'll be in the outfield tomorrow with my girl.

Let's go Dodgers!

What a game tonight, the Dodgers complete the sweep vs St. Louis.

Young Scott Van Slyke son of Andy provided the difference with a 3 run blast pinch hitting in the 7th.

Great stuff for the Boys in Blue.

Now 28-13 and the best record in baseball, man I hope the clock does not strike midnight on the 2012 MLB season.

A great game indeed!

I was 5 feet from Van Slyke's home run, I swear when they get a legit video of it I will point myself out.

Go Dodgers!

    • Nope Still missing it. Let's try this a different way... You have two quarterbacks from schools that ran the same kind of offense - maybe even two from the same school - on a given team (not necessarily the Panthers). One is designated the starter while the other is named the backup. Why?
    • yeah, pretty sure boss.....when things match and fit in the NFL.....the results then show it.  and when they don't, well, the results show that as well.  Bryce doesn't fit.   *but I get why late season and wants to argue with everyone Mr. Scot has also turned into a please don't talk to me about stats guy as well.  Given, the stats that reflect offensive productivity work against all your present arguments.
    • Yeeeah...stats and rankings have zero to do with a discussion of scheme and skill set match. Maybe look up definitions of style vs ability and see if that helps. At this point, you've basically had three different people explain to you where you're wrong, but rather than addressing any of those statements, you're just resorting to straight deflection.  You don't get it. Either that or you're acting like you don't get it so that you can avoid the discussion because it's not going well for you. (that wouldn't surprise me either) 😄 Sme result either way, I suppose.
