Trade with Knicks?

Diaw could end up with Knicks

What are the chances of Boris Diaw ending up in New York and reunited with Mike D'Antoni? Before yesterday, not very good. But now, you could see a scenario - perhaps one that would include David Lee being shipped out - where Diaw is wearing a Knicks uniform. The Phoenix Suns traded one of D'Antoni's all-time favorite players to the Charlotte Bobcats on Wednesday along with Raja Bell for Jason Richardson and Jared Dudley. The move means that when D'Antoni makes his emotional return to the Valley on Monday he won't have as many former players to embrace. But the trade also opens the door for the Knicks to eventually acquire Diaw, especially with Donnie Walsh's good friend, Larry Brown, falling in and out of love with players on a daily basis. If you don't think Diaw would love to play for D'Antoni again, here is what the veteran forward said upon being traded by GM Steve Kerr: "It definitely wasn't as fun. It wasn't as exciting for the fans. It's not as fun for everybody (on the team). I'll always remember Phoenix with Mike (D'Antoni). We went from a winning team that was the most exciting team in the league to a half-winning team that wasn't exciting at all."

I don't watch much of the Knicks or much of David Lee, but looking at his numbers... looks like he'd play well with Okafor. Let's see what happens. Major shakeups still looming.

NO! i like Diaw alot, he has always had the talent to be a good scorer. He just never has had the oppertunity to do it. with the suns amare, marion and nash always were the go-to guys. but look at diaw's numbers when amare was out that year.

During the 2006 NBA playoffs as the Suns' starting center, Diaw averaged 18.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 1.10 blocks per game.

those are quality numbers. ive seen him play alot. he is strong enough to guard the post. while having a good jumper. he has great handles, when he came into the league he was supposed to be a point guard! also a great passer for a big man.

lets wait an see, i expect 15pts, 8 rbs, an 4 ast averages. an im sure he can do it.

    • I could be waaaaaaay off about Kon. I do fault myself into, to borrow a NFL phrase heavily "RAS" nerd on players, too much. There are PLENTY of athletic freak shows that are playing overseas(or Amazon delivery) cause they never figured out NBA ball. I can easily miss seeing the talent. Plus did he only have 2 dunks on the season??(is that for real??) I didn't watch over a few hours of duke, but not one point did I think "That Kon guy is a top 4 pick in the upcoming draft". IMO I still foresee Ball bringing the ball up, doing his weak isolation game and never even looking for Kon. That's his best trait according to everyone, shooting right? I do not see ball, bridges, miller or even williams making the extra pass to Kon for him to shoot a 3.  Then defense-wise, Im not ready to type the amount of questions I foresee in his ability for guarding NBA SGs or bench SFs for that matter. Not that NBA players care to defend, but still..... I just feel he's a bad fit for the current hornets, trades are taking place tho... Liam to me is a decent comp for Kon and he fell some, but was a 29 overall pick. Still around 13-21 was the good solid range for Liam and I thought the same for Kon. This is just a classic case of I need to see it. It add to this, Kon is like garlic. Ball is like sugar and Miller is like flour. Mix it together and chef Lee is not going to get me to eat that dish..... Honestly I don't know why Im this vocal about Kon. In past years I would be patience and not post and see what the kid has. The other side, insert classic white boy terms here- _____, ______, _______< etc >. Hornets do desperately need them. His crafty back door cuts, his willingness to stay a extra 2 hours to refine lees plays, keep playing with bruised limbs. I heard from many reports he's mentally tough and hornets by all gods need that. God they are such pussys.  I hope Im wrong and if so, I will give Kon his just props.
