2013 NFL prospects in Bowl Games

How'd McFadden do? He's one of my sleepers.

he had a nice game, hardly threw his way. two passes that were thrown his way was a screen he blew up, and a deep ball where the QB didnt give the WR a chance. he was step for step with the WR and was at a disadvantage in size game, but the throw was bad.

Watch Cody Hoffman from BYU,he will end up being a sleeper at the combine.I think he will end up being a top 3 WR in this draft.

i have been watching Cody for 3 years now, and he is a sleeper. he did have a bad drop on the goal line tho and it got picked off.if he runs well at the combine, look for him to shoot up the board.

Watching the Maaco bowl, not very exciting. Jamar Taylor has an INT off a bad Price throw. Desmond Trufant hasn't been thrown at yet. Austin Seferian-Jenkins is swept aside because of this putrid passing game, been pretty good as a run blocker.

Taylor has some damn fast closing speed, showed it on the WR screen and then again on a Washington 4th down to break up the pass.

Might as well bump this for todays slew of games.

First up is the Military Bowl between San Jose St and Bowling Green. Not a lot of prospects in this game but one to keep an eye on is SJSU #11 QB David Fales. Could be a low round pick or priority FA.

Belk Bowl featuring Duke BlueDevils and the Cincinnati Bearcats

Players to watch: Duke

-Sean Renfree, QB #19

-Conner Vernon, WR #2

For Cincy:

-Deven Drane, S #11

-Drew Frey, S #26

Finally we get to the marquee match up

Baylor Bears vs UCLA Bruins

Baylor:

-Terrance Williams, WR #2

UCLA:

-Jonathan Franklin, RB #23

-Joseph Fauria, TE #8

-Datone Jones, DE #56

-Anthony Barr, LB #11 (may not declare)

    • I would say the extremes from both camps in these conversations have to do with the blurring of the fact Bryce is a first overall pick and the expectations for that draft slot fair or not far exceed just being a top 20-25 starter amongst your peers. Regardless. All logical Panthers fans want him to be the answer.
    • The offseason is always when hope springs eternal. If you look past that, you can see a very bad roster with a lot more questions than definitive answers. Let's hope we get a lot of those right, because I think we are a lot closer to another impatient Tepper reset than we probably think.
    • These arguments are getting more and more disingenuous from both the pro and anti Bryce crowd. Bryce looked very good for stretches down the final 8 games. He finally showed glimpses of the guy that was projected as a top QB pick in the draft. Bryce also didn't look like a top 10 NFL QB.  I think we are so far removed from Prime Cam that we forget what an elite QB looks like. I could tell that when people were losing their minds and simping for Sam Darnold. This season needs to finally showcase Bryce as a franchise talent. If that doesn't happen, it's time to pivot. There are very few recent examples of QB's struggling or being a mixed bag through the first three seasons of starting and then suddenly becoming frachise caliber players.
