Canes Make A Few Roster Moves

Recommended Posts

Not that it matters that much, but the Canes have made a few roster moves today.

The Hurricanes announced that they have recalled forwards Tim Wallace and Nicolas Blanchard from the AHL's Charlotte Checkers and reassigned forward Zac Dalpe.

The Hurricanes have also announced that they have signed 2012 NHL Draft Pick (fifth round pick) Brendan Woods.

Brendan finished his sophomore season at the University of Wisconsin and decided to turn pro today, he will report to the Checkers immediately to help them in their quest to win the Calder Cup.

In Brendan's two season at UW he tallied 10 goals, 12 assists, 22 points, and 114 penalty minutes in 75 games at the forward position.

Brendan's father; Bob Woods played professionally in the AHL, IHL, and ECHL. Bob Woods is currently an assistant coach for the Anaheim Ducks.
