What you fail to understand is my way the ticket is dropped and your not pain that fine and your not paying an attorney . It costs Between $50 - $100 depending on where your going to get the tests done. So how is this a bad thing when you yourself stated attorney Fee $75 plus your fines totaling up to $300-350... The attorney screwed you or the laws in VA are different than here in NC. When you get a ticket dropped here, you do not pay fines or fee for the it since the Charges were dropped. That attorney did nothing but plead you down to a lower charge to stop from point going on your license. So in that seances you were screwed by false promises from a crooked attorney wanting your money for something you could have done your self.

Oh and the cost for a speedometer cable is between $25-$35 plus getting a mechanic to write you up a receipt free or $20. Total $45-$55.

Or $50 -$100 for checking the speedometer.

Gotcha. I was thinking that your suggestion would still bet you an improper equipment ticket and fine....not dropping the charge all together.

Also, I prefer my way....allow my attorney to plead the case. As opposed to yours...find a dishonest mechanic and lie to the courts.

I kind of frown upon complete and utter lying and dishonesty. But that is just me.
