Too much pressure on Cam Newton to win

You can't throw to a spot like that unless the defender has it back to the play or out of position.  You do that any other time and you are asking for an INT.

This is exactly why Ross picked off Newton. He was on LaFell's route the entire time and the ball was laid out on a platter asking him to catch it.

One good throw does not make up for an entire game of being off. The corner throw to LaFell was great because Newton threw to a spot instead of a player. I'd like to see more spot passing from him before I'll crown him an accurate passer.

As I've stated many times, only Panther fans  can act real smug  and condesending when it comes to what their QB does but quick to make excuses for the rest of the team. I get it, Cam is your team's workhorse. SMDH

I wonder if you would feel the same way had your team gotten the media chosen Luck as your QB?

For me it starts and ends at the quarterback. It's well known Newton has problems reading a defense and after three years in the league with all the starting experience he has something is wrong. He is either not putting the time in the film room, does not have the ability to read or just doesn't care. If it's 1 and 3 then I don't want him on the team. If he can't figure out the plays then they need to stop forcing him into that but without being on the sideline you can't tell if its the coach or the player.

Hey NCstoner. How do you like that throw and catch!?

Or are you too busy typing up vitriol about Cam to even watch the game?

Your blatant ignorance is showing.

It was a speed receiver blowing the top off of the coverage, it was the reason Ginn was brought into Carolina and the reason I supported that move. Those deep throws are Newton's bread and butter but he has to be more consistent underneath for those routes to open up.

It's well known by who, Mike Mayock?

I'm watching the same game as you and all I'm hearing is endless praises for Cam from these Analysts. First time ever. Yet, I come on here and I see the same Cam BS from some of you.  Since when Cam has problems reading defense outside of you folks trying to make some ish out of everything he does?

The only problem I've ever seen with Cam, even when looking at his STATS from his college days, was his low throwing percentage.  Him having problems reading defense was never an issue. But it's clear some of you Panther fans love to make things up about Cam and act like it's a fact.

Yeah Cam threw the pick, but you fail to realize that on any type of comeback routes the WR must help his QB and come back to the ball. Lafell did not, and drifted back allowing Ross to undercut the route. Hell Billick even said that he was supposed to come back to the ball.

THANK YOU!!!

It seems there are way to many negatgive naysayers on here who love to blame your QB for every ish.

I saw a receiver who took one step to many and  cause the defense to beat him back to the ball. Cam threw the ball where he wanted it to go.

Watch the negative Nay-sayers make much out of that one throw when it was clearly on Lafell  and harp on it as if it was the entire game. That's my issue with some of these Panther fans. They are so damn obvious.

I never said LaFell ran a perfect route. Newton should not have thrown that pass while Ross was staring him down, it's a rookie mistake that a third year starter should not be making.

Eli still makes those mistakes, peyton still makes those mistakes and in the playoff no less. Many qbs and even elite qbs still make those mistakes. You are harping on cam's negatives to justify your hate. It's crystal clear right now.

It was not a rookie mistake by the QB, but the WR. He drifted in his route so that allowed the CB to under cut the ball. If ran correctly, the ball would have been caught or Ross would have to run thru Lafell.
