They're back!

That's what the NFL world is saying about the Carolina Panthers, who have reeled off three wins in four games to insert themselves into the playoff conversation.

Carolina has reached the .500 mark at 3-3 by exhibiting a level of grit, toughness and tenacity that reminds me of the Panthers teams I helped build as a scout from 2003 to '07. With a hard-hitting defense featuring a bevy of explosive athletes along the front seven and a developing franchise quarterback with the skills to carry the offense on his back, this squad has the look of a dark horse contender in the NFC.

With the league suddenly buzzing about Carolina, I thought I would dig into the All-22 Coaches Film to see what's behind the team's improved play. Here's what I discovered:

  He hasn’t worked out for anybody and only scheduled one work out, which he cancelled (76ers). I’ve heard he doesn’t want to play for certain teams, but I’ve never seen any proof that the Hornets are specifically one of them, just speculation and guesswork. Either way, the Hornets don’t get a pass for trading Kobe just because Kobe wanted to go to a bigger market, and if Ace Bailey turns out to be great they won’t get a pass for passing up on him either, so they should draft him either way.

  Thanks for the clarification! People have slowly crept in with the narrative that we are needlessly bashing women when referring to any disdain regarding Nicole.

  I say it all the time its not the number of calls or penalty yards its the calls that are called at the perfect time that directly effect the game. I would love someone unbiased to just watch nfl games and keep track of calls that directly impact games and keep that as a stat and see how it shakes out across the league i would think certain teams woild benefit alot more than others.
