Royce White and Seth Curry Both Released

I loved White's game coming into the draft last year and I think he CAN be an awesome NBA player if he can get his head right. That being said, I have no idea why the Sixers released him, but they did.

Then there's Seth. I wasn't really a fan, as I thought he lacked the ability to create space coming into the pros, but he could be an outstanding spot-up shooter. Then he spent all summer saying he was going to sign with us when healthy and then chose the Warriors over us. Now he has been released as well.

Do you want either guy? And do you see them helping us?

I liked White's game as well at Iowa State, however in the NBA I foresee him being a total bust due to his relentless pursuit for special attention regarding his 'generalized anxiety disorder'.  He may actually need special attention for mental health issues because one doesn't simply jeopardize potential fame and fortune due to the selfish demand for an unprecedented amount of 'accommodations'.

I would be down to pick up Seth Curry; the more shooters the better for this Bobcats team. However we would have to cut one player to make room...Seeing as Haywood and Jefferson are currently injured, we can't justify cutting a big man right now; So looks like Janerro Pargo is the odd man out in my mind.

If his superstar brother couldn't lobby the Warriors to keep Seth around...I doubt the NBA is in his future. He's probably going to have to take the Kyle Singler (and most duke players) route and go to a Euro league for a few years.

Also, Lorenzo Brown and CJ Leslie were released. Kendall Marshall is also now unemployed.

    • Anybody got a clue what this is supposed to mean? 🤔
    • I figured as much. Hopefully he's just resting up and will be ready for round 3 (if we make it that far.)  Sucks to see. Hes been our best defender (besides Slavin) in the playoffs so far.
    • I've never bought into the idea. There's just too much at stake, even for front office people. Jobs are lost, trust is lessened, lives are altered, reputations are damaged and more. Throw in that the average front office person isn't as young as the average player. They may not have ten years ahead of them to salvage their careers. Any given year could be their last. The only person not guaranteed to suffer some direct form of consequence from losing is the owner, and even there you still have problems (fan reaction, team reputation, revenue, etc). You've also got massive egos in play on that front so it can get personal. Mind you, I do accept that there are "fire sales" in order to build for the future, but even those have consequences. They don't exactly guarantee success either. Poorly run teams often just wind up in the same circumstance a few years down the road. Sorry gus, but my tinfoil hat just hasn't fit me for quite a while.
