Free agent Matt Jones has spent more than $15,000 of his own money on performance training with IMG Academies in Bradenton, Florida for the past three months.

Jones' agent has spoken with several teams, but character concerns and a reputation for laziness are scaring teams away. By all accounts, Jones has finally seen the light and is working feverishly to prove he can still be an asset. He's out of legal hot water and remains the best receiver available on the market.

Yep. He was pulled over and cocaine was found in the car. The second time was when he violated probation by having alcohol in his system.

He's a good athlete, but with the trouble he's been in and the lack of production on the field... he'll have a hard time coming back, but someone will give him a shot at some point I suspect.

Jones said recently, however, that his agent has spoken with the Titans, Bears, Jets, and Cowboys.

"Things are looking good," Jones told 103.7 in Little Rock. "Something probably will happen sooner rather than later. We just want it to be a good fit and somewhere where I can get in there and help a team win."
