Conservative playcalling from Ron and Shula cost us this game.

Good luck finding one single thing/area that lost us this game.

Blame to go all the fugin' round.

This^^^

I said it before, if we don't get pressure on Brees it will be a long night.  The Saints came out with a good game plan to  slow our pass rush.  We went with 4....we blitzed....we did not getnerate the necessary pressure and Brees was playing catch.

On offense, we could not get in a rhythm.  We had a handful of nice plays, but would then shoot ourselves in the foot.

Blame goes all around on this one....defense, offense, QB, WR, coaching, etc.

I seem to think the defense let us down more

Yes and thank you. We went into the game with the right philosophy. We wanted the offense to control the clock, score touchdowns, and let the defense rest. We accomplished two out of three; missing the most important one obviously.

We needed the defense to put pressure on Brees and get at least one turnover. They accomplished nothing.

We shouldn't have to but that's what it has come down to. We don't have the talent on offense regularly convert. We have to go for it those situations. It was literally pointless to have taken that 2nd field goal.

It wasn't pointless, but u gotta score TDs. I realize it has come down to 4th down, but we can't realistically blame the loss on not goin for it on 4th. We need to get it done on the first three downs. Thats all I'm sayn. We had opportunities before the FG was called, we didn't get it in.

Bottom line:

We had a bad night against a good team, at their house.

    • Tools. If I hear that term used one more time I'm going to lose my damn mind.  "Tools" are meaningless if they cannot use them already. Stop looking for "tools" and find productive football players. Stop looking for combine freaks and look for guys that have produced at a high level already. Tools my ass.
    • my thread wasnt good enough for you?  lol
