For those hating on Gettleman

Blah blah blah.  Every team makes bad picks.  Get over it.  Gettleman did well last season.  But his track record is not long enough to get a pass from criticism.  So all the Gettleman defenders please STFU about our criticism.  We have as much right to criticize him as you do to suck his balls.

 

I guess I am one of those "defenders" because I am willing to give him more than 2 offseasons to fix the clusterfug we were left in.

Its one thing to make bad picks, its another when its consistent and you trade away future draft picks to do it.

Compare him to Ted Thompson then, hes doing the same thing. Good teams have to let go of role players because they simply cant afford to pay everyone. He builds through the draft and signs cheap FA's. Never gonna make a big splash signing in FA, and if you go by the numbers those rarely work out

and that's perfectly fine but there's a professional way to do it then there's a non professional way to......gettleman has shown on a couple occasions to do the lather, and most of us agree you only sign big FA's if your window is closing or your the browns or raiders

For me and I would think for most, it's not about putting Gettelman on a pedestal as much as it is giving him some time to fix what was done to the Panthers. Shitting all over Hurney is just a bonus.

I dont think anyone thought what we did to smith was fair, but from a business perspective it was a good move. I think in time it will only benefit us and hopefully let some young wrs shine
