  1. HeatCheck added a post in a topic Wide Receiver Battle & Running Back Battle - Who do you "HOPE" makes the team?

5 Backs - Stew, CAP, Wegher, Tolbert, Ward
5 Receivers - Funchess, Ginn, Cotchery, Boykin, Byrd
If we went 4 Backs and 6 Receivers, I would add Corey Brown and drop Wegher.

  2. HeatCheck added a post in a topic Is ANYONE able to make a case for Brockel?

Yep. Brockel is an H-Back while Ward is a FB.
Brockel is more versatile but Ward is better at what he does.

  3. HeatCheck added a post in a topic I would like to point out something from tonights game

The problem with Mixon is he focuses on everything but the game. Maybe he just lacks the knowledge to say something that pertains to the game but it's brutal to listen to.
His play by play focuses on everything but the actual play."It's 3rd and medium. Cam exits the huddle off his knee and looks to the sky. He licks his fingers and places his hands underneath Kalil's crotch. If you have already forgotten, the Panthers are wearing their white uniforms with their silver helmets and heading left. Cam looks left and sees Benjamin and looks right and sees the veteran Cotchery. The ball is snapped...he throws the ball with his right hand."
You get not real visualization with what's happening during the play when it matters.

Is this based on what you have seen or is there a report out there concerning his injury?

Mick Mixon needs to be cut. No one can actually enjoy listening to him.

Don't follow him because he doesn't do much for me but that's definitely interesting that he deleted tweets regrading the Hornets. Wonder what we were in for.

Figured. He just doesn't look like the H-Back type.

From the sounds of things, I'd like them both as well.
Has Ward been used as an H-Back or strictly FB? Someone in the thread mentioned about Ward replacing Brockel but haven't heard of Ward being able to play that same role as Brockel.

  9. HeatCheck added a post in a topic Luke and TD mixing it up in the scuffle also.

Yes, that's the only story I've heard so I feel like that's the logical way to think. I'm trying to figure out another situation in which Norman and Cam would get in a scuffle.

I'm confused...have you heard otherwise that Cam didn't try to tackle Norman?

But if Cam started the physical scuffle, then how do you expect Norman to react?

  12. HeatCheck added a post in a topic Mini-Melee: Josh Norman VS Cam Newton

I don't think Norman initiated the physical fight. I think he may have antagonized Cam with the INT, the jawing, the stiff arm, but it sounds like Cam started the fight. Not to say Norman didn't deserve it, but I'm not sure he was the one who actually started the physical scuffle.
And yes, he is a strange dude that has suspect behavior.

Loved him at Auburn. Him and Fozzy are going to be critical to the Panthers rushing success. Really hope Stew has a healthy season.

Ok, just wondering. Just wanted to pose the question.
I don't get the people that are criticizing passing on the trade and selecting Frank if your preference was drafting Winslow. I don't think you can have it both ways. You can't criticize the Hornets for passing on the trade if you'd do the same thing. We selected Frank because we valued him over Winslow or at least valued his skill set and what he would add to the team over Winslow. I believe we wanted a player that could come in right away and contribute. He clearly doesn't have the upside of Winslow but I don't think that's what we were looking for (based on our offseason moves). After watching SL, you have to be somewhat  encouraged at what he could bring to the team.

Here's my question to you: would you have selected Winslow or taken the trade?
