  1. Kony Ealy

Kony just kept running - guy was on an absolute mission. Was it Peyton that ultimately tackled him?
  2. Mike Remmers

Agree 100% with these, and Von Miller is one of the elite pass rushers in the league. There aren't many guys that CAN consistently go toe-to-toe every play, and that's what bums me so much... it's not like Shula and Co. didn't know that Miller was going to be playing and on a mission to terrorize Cam as much as possible.
  3. Kony in the Super Bowl, largely because he's been a bit polarizing (unfairly IMO) in the past but clearly came to play last night. Guy's a baller.
  4. Blandino on the no catch call

To my eyes, it touched but didn't move due to the contact... which is a catch by NFL rules. It did move a bit as he was rolling over, but it was nowhere near the ground and never touched again. No idea what is a catch these days.
  5. What about Charles?

Agree 100%. CJ was a pretty productive player prior to that specific game (arguably overpaid, but the 2010 pass rusher market drove his price up), but hasn't looked anywhere near the same since.
  6. NFL Rigged?

Rigged? Be tough to consistently pull off conspiracies that big. 'Massaged', however? Like a little nudge here and there in key situations from a few select parties? Wouldn't really surprise me, and that applies across all sports. Anybody else remember Jeremy talking about the NFL making all members of the media remove any Carolina items prior to the 2013 playoff game against SF? Not trying to claim that's what happened last night, but if it WERE to happen, the Super Bowl (any Super Bowl) seems like a prime event for it.
  7. I'm not one to fly of the handle when guys play rough, but that was so blatant and out of the norm that an ejection seemed appropriate. Wouldn't happen in a Super Bowl (anyone else remember Cary Williams pushing a ref and not even getting flagged vs. SF?) but egregious nonetheless.
  8. Cam pouting at the podium

He didn't sit there and let the media beat up on him like "classy" players do. I've never really understood the point of press conferences for the losing teams other than to generate soundbites and drama... of course, that's the entire media M.O. these days for ANY topic, sports or otherwise.
  9. Roman Harper

Until last night, Boston hadn't ever committed a penalty. Your comment makes no sense.  http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BostTr00/penalties/ For contrast and to see what a penalized player looks like, Teddy Williams and his penalties: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WillTe00/penalties/
  10. The Fall of Cam Newton

More of a general thought, but I'd be interested to see the league-wide numbers on this. As with most anything, there's more to the story than just Cam when pressure is applied (was there actually someone to throw to, etc.).
  11. I said the same thing in another thread - the offense looked like the 2013 and 2014 versions with the head-scratching slow-developing plays in the face of pressure. It's not like they didn't know Miller and Ware were coming.
  12. Racist peice of poo

I assume it's the 'boy' he's implying is racist.
  13. I feel terrible for Penaut and Allen

ST was less than stellar as well. 6 points swing off of bad ST play (missed FG, wacky punt return), another 15 gift points off of offensive turnovers... Carolina theoretically could have won this game 7-6. Didn't happen and so is irrelevant, but that's the type of game the defense played.
  14. The offense tonight reminded me a lot of 2013 and 2014 - long-developing plays when uptempo was needed. Even with that, had they just not turned the damn ball over (even taking the sacks, just without the fumbles) they probably would have won.
  15. Offseason - Offense or Defense for DG

Not accounting for BPA, OT/DE/CB/S are IMO the clear areas of need in that order. OT and DE are really an either/or situation, though we did see firsthand tonight what a monster rush can accomplish.
