There are 4-5 more plays where Delaire pops off the screen. He just seems relentless and rougher than anyone we've had since Greg Hardy left. Not that we don't have big hitters, I think you could tell Winston didn't want to be hit by Delaire again. The takedown where Winston lands awkwardly on his knees. For at least that game, he looked like you just have to let him loose on a football field. He's a valuable 3rd down pass rusher at the very least.
This isn't normal statistics though. I don't see how Olsen's pass catching impact could have been offset by his run blocking. I'm not doubting he wasn't good at blocking, I just doubt that his performance was equally as bad as his receiving was good.
It's been three damn games why is offseason being brought up? Funchess' development could change a lot of our offensive problems. I really like how Cam is playing so I think we will see improvement within the season.
You're right that no stat by itself is full proof but it's funny you should say stats are just numbers because PFF watches and grades every player individually. For instance, Cam won't be penalized for dropped passes, so it's as close to game film stats as possible right now.
Ealy didn't record a stat in week 1, didn't do much week 2 and added penalties. Penalties are the fastest way to a bad PFF grade. Looks like he's going against a pretty good LT so we need him to step up. Look at Norwell with the highest grade on the offensive side. Pretty awesome seeing six players on defense with a 80+ grade. We could be seeing the changing of the guard on the DL as Short becomes the best graded player there.
It's this fanbase's favorite guy to talk about getting for some reason. My guess is they're looking to fill the void of Stephen Hill/David Gettis/Drew Carter He won't start for Vikings but he is always a threat returning.
