Same thing with Denver last week, finding out in the stadium that the Chargers came back and won. Not sure how that affected their play, but the team can't avoid hearing the scores of the day.

If they are so mentally weak that it affects their focus on this game, they don't deserve to win the 1st seed.

I think that they will still have plenty of motivation....home field is on the line. I really havent seen them be unmotivated much this year, and if they cant get up for this game, then I will have to seriously rethink my hopes for this team.

The thing I don't like is that this week is a huge game and next week its a huge game for New Orleans to salvage some pride and finish with a winning record.

Atlanta, draws St Louis.

So if we lose this week we face a dangerous team while atlanta gets a cream puff. We could feasibly lose the division.

Honestly I hope they have been watching the Atlanta game. If they have, then they would see the possibility of losing the division and a first round bye to the Falcons if they don't bring it tonight. What better motivation could there be?

    • At this point I think the question of whether CAP is going to be a productive NFL player at all is probably a valid one.

Of course I value my kid's life over my dog's, but I'll value the life of either over the life of someone threatening them. Seems like the pro-Vick/anti-dog crowd can't help themselves to try to bend over backwards to create arguments that haven't actually been made. As for your property statement, yes dogs are property that can be bought and sold, but I bet no one's ever been sent to prison for abusing couches. Dogs certainly have more protection under the law than standard property. You're free to place whatever value on a dog's life that you will. You'll notice that I haven't tried to lecture anyone on how they should view a dog, I'm simply stating my own personal views.
