Mueller's has one of the best burgers in town.

Connolly's for a drink.

Had Cabo for din din tonight.

Thirsty Beaver defines a good ole dive bar.

Counter has good burgers too, but not exactly a dive.

Casino El Camino has the best burgers in town. Great jukebox too.

C-Hunt's (laugh it up) is one of the best places to enjoy a beer (great selection and cheap) outside. Bar staff is easy on the eyes and top notch.

The Horseshoe is old school, largely hipster free South Austin with a great country and old R n B dominated jukebox. Personal flasks welcome.

Trudy's and its limit two per customer Mexican martini's and stuffed avocado is an Austin institution.

Kirby Lane is the place for an end of festivities breakfast.

This is like the 50th time this place is mentioned. Passed it the other day coming from Monroe.

GOTTA hit this place.

Yes, definitely. I recommend 2 eggs over medium, country ham and hash browns with toast. It's what the doctor ordered!

It's hard to find a place that truly knows how to cook country ham, and they do at Greg's... It's not tanned leather, and it's not still oinking. It's just right.

The sides and beer selection is the only thing that keeps us going there. BBQ....eh.

Breakfast- Johns Country Kitchen/Eddies

Lunch- Hickory Tavern/Penguin/Cabo Fish Taco

Dinner- McCormick & Schmicks/ Capital Grille (I refuse to dress up when I go though)

If Hickory Tavern , McCormick & Schmick's, and the Capital Grille are what you consider "dives" then you are definitely on a different social status level than I am.
