With the changing demographics in our country, I don't think they will be relevent in 15 years. If they could keep the white voters they would be fine but..they can't. They try to use that tool Micheal Steele to get black people excited about their party and he has done nothing but turn me further away from them, and their politics. Oh well.

You're awesome.

If democrats continue to run inner cities and the education systems...then yes...I agree. Otherwise, they'll become empowered and realize that putting their trust in government is like putting their trust in man. They'll fail you everytime.

Great, now I'm going to cry myself to sleep tonight about the possibility of there being no republican party anymore. Thanks a lot.

Yes, you are right because America won't exist. * sarcasm*

Only white people are republicans....you need to get out in the world and meet some people...

Parties evolve, and the degree to which the leaders fall on the spectrum changes too.

If you mean bible thumpin' dyed in the wool Republicans, maybe. But you might want to look at just how many whitish folks are in this country, assuming your assertions about party makeup are correct. I think those thumpin' Repubs will always be there. The question is, will that party remain beholden to them.

I hope not.

It wasn't that long ago that people were saying the very same thing about the democrats. Pendulum. Pick up a poli sci book.

As to this Tea Party thing, I can't take any org srsly that says it is so radical and different when it headlines Palin. She is classic, not new Coke.

Possibly... but a collapse of this nature would also be followed by, or follow a collapse of the Democratic party.

See... you have to understand that you can't have the Donkey without the Elephant. The battles they fight with each other serve to perpetuate their existence. Politicians jockey for the sake of creating division and polarization to create this "right" and "left".

Stop and think for a minute... really think.... if you consider yourself an open-minded intelligent person, can you honestly say you support either party 100%? In fact, can you honestly say you support legislation from either party 100%?

There are many things that the Republicans are guilty of allowing, and things the Democrats are guilty of allowing, which is harming everyone's life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Many people are realizing the Red and Blue game that's being played on us is simply there to give us a sense of choice, and sense of freedom. When in reality we have little to no choice about what we do with our lives and our freedoms are penned in by law.

10-15 years before the Dems and Repubs merge into one mega party and do away with the election process entirely? I guess it could happen.

Its already pretty hard to tell one from the other.

the way the dollar is and the way your country is slowly tearing itself apart, you will all be Canadians in 10-15 years. You've already got the healthcare system, hockey is catching on, and last I heard, it was snowing in Vermont, sounds like you are almost there.

Learn the whole anthem and the secret handshake, remember to say eh alot and you are in

FWIW, I don't think America as we know it, or even the world for that matter, will remain intact much longer than around 2026...

There are a number of factors that are currently contributing to the decline of civilization, and they include (but are not limited to) lack of:

Potable Water
Oil
Empathy
Alternative Energy methods

Now, speaking from an American standpoint, our downfall is going to be brought upon by greedy politicians, a broken economic system, in incapable justice system, and an overall disgust for our fellow country folk... I myself tire of the endless division among people between the simple words "left" and "right" and look forward to a day when these people extinguish each other... It isn't that far off either, as tensions on both sides are at an all-time-high... That is why I give it 16 years, tops... Also, this will give our country 250 years of existence, and honestly, that has already been too long...

You have religion, the government, and the economy invading every facet of life... We can't progress to a higher existence because we limit ourselves to a certain belief system... We can't bring prosperity to everyone because we are too concerned about ourselves and how we are somehow entitled to something more than someone else...

We don't need any rules or laws... Justice should be swift and equal to the crime... We don't need a dollar when the basic necessities of life are free to those willing and able to obtain them... We need to stop making commodities of everything and simply exist for the sake of existing... We don't need a deity to know how to love one another...

I get more and more disgusted as the days go by... Sure, I am guilty of playing into the system we have, and I feel bad about it most of the time... But then again, the system is pretty much setup where I have no other choice except to play along...

It is so frustrating that I can't even put it into words...

The whole world, not just America, needs a whole lot of something... I don't know what it is, but I know what it isn't...

It isn't government... It isn't religion... It isn't money...
