(Theory) Coach Cowher to be next Panthers head coach

I believe he already has a deal struck with JR, and it will happen very very quickly (this week). I don't think we will waste Jim Harbaugh's time.. as I believe JR has made up his mind, and will be appeasing the RR, to get the Ron Rivera interview out of the way ASAP. The press conference tomorrow very well could be the announcement I am talking about.
Oh, and the 'short list' for Cowher, never existed. http://sports.yahoo.....urn=nfl-301058

It seems that we will be getting a high profile head coach.. not a lesser known coordinator that ESPN seems to imply. I believe JR will be going BIG. JR will pump life into this downtrodden franchise. Cowher and Luck would achieve this goal. Again, I would rather have an Offensive minded HC like Harbaugh, but the writing seems to be on the wall.

The alternative theory is they have a deal set up with Harbaugh already, and they set the press conference for the day after his Bowl game.. which would make sense. However, I don't think they would have fired the ENTIRE coaching staff for Harbaugh. I could be wrong though.
That's where you're wrong I think....
Harbaugh holds all the cards, there's one of him and at least 5 different teams that want him, including Stanford. If JR wanted him bad enough and Harbaugh said I'll come if I can pick my own staff it would be done.....

You have a good point there. Hand picking your entire staff would be extremely appealing for any head coach, however, I do think Carolina holds some cards with Harbaugh as well. We have the rights to his Quarterback whom he declared as the 'best quarterback prospect EVAR!'.

There is nothing that says that the new coach won't bring back a few of the assistants the he feels are compatible with his style.

You forgot to quote yourself. I think I remember you posting this exact thing in the other Cowher thread.
I wasn't getting any feedback, and wanted to know some opinion's on my theory. I just made a new thread.

If he goes to Denver it unfortunately may not matter.....
