It was a good read, but I want a shutdown corner (Gamble, if Rivera thinks he can be a shutdown corner, then I'm not going to argue with that) and a quality pure number two corner (not a nickle), which is something or someone that I don't think is on the roster at this point.

He never said he was shutdown, he said he was No. 1 material and he is. Gamble is not as bad as our fans think. He is above average. But there are more than one CB on the team, so I think we need someone average.

I am really looking forward to the defense this year. I would love to be able to win games 7-6 this year instead of knowing we will have to score 24 or more just to be in the game.

If Newton can just be average...we can get to 8-8. If he's a little above average, I think we can have a winning record.

If Newton can be a little above average AND either LaFell or Gettis have a breakout season, then the sky is the limit.
