Thats one hell of a move considering they are in 5th (at this point) going into the playoffs. Oh well, just a benefit for us I guess.

What happened to the Habs? Do they just not understand how to handle a small slump? Seems like that's whats happened... and now it's snowballed into something much bigger.

the more I hear and read, the more I think this was a good thing. Seems there was no leadership from Carbo and a big time loss of respect between players and coach. Players wanting to get traded, Gainey having to come down and bench Kovalev etc. Going to be really interesting to see how the team responds. Gainey won't take any poo though, so I think this will be a good thing for the team myself.

It's a good thing the NHL canceled the playoffs this year and awarded the Cup to Montreal before any games were played....makes the firing of the coach less embarrassing
