Is this just a lack of doing their homework or am I totally missing something. Last I heard the man was supposedly fully healed and ready to raise hell.

yeah, you'd think that after all he did on the field last year and because of how well known he is and the big reputation for being a dominant force in the interior he has that they would know better.

I'm still deciding who I want but I always chuckle whenever I read a mock that says McClain=bad Fua=good and another mock has McClain=good Fua=bad. It's like this constanly. I just find it funny.
Tangent Done
Yeah, I'm still trying to find any kind of tape to prove Fua=good, McClain=bad. At least McClain flashed and had a few big plays. Fua is more of a space eater, but I felt like he sucked at doing that, unless he was supposed to be occupying the same space as Charles Godfrey.

Draft for the next 10 years, not this season.

yeah, but you answered the question there as well.Did you even read the entire post?
ron edwards has done nothing to show that DT isn't something that needs to be upgraded or addressed in the draft.
why would anyone look at our roster and think..."hey! wait a minute...they've got that ron edwards guy. DT is covered."?
ron edwards is an afterthought.
he's on the wrong side of 30. he's coming back from an injury that caused him to miss the whole season. i don't see him as a long term solution. i don't see him as "the answer" or "the missing link" on the Dline. he's just a guy they brought in to make a weak Dline not so weak. not a powerhouse. not a dominant force.

I mean, they could at least give me a blurb stating he IS on the team and should be a starter if healthy. Out of over 100 mocks and offseason needs articles I don't think I've seen his name three times.
I never said the guy was a dominant force.
Either way, I don't think DT is right for us at #9. But if we did, it needs to be Cox in my humble opinion.

i didn't say you did. i'm just giving reasons, as did you in the OP, why he hasn't been mentioned.I mean, they could at least give me a blurb stating he IS on the team and should be a starter if healthy. if there is a stud DT there at #9 among our choices, you don't say "well, we've got ron edwards so....pass."
the argument is whether or not there is a solid DT choice there. ron edwards isn't someone that you would factor heavily into the decision.
fua and mcclain...i can see that since we used a couple 3rd rounders on them last year, but not edwards.
the only decision i would factor edwards being on the roster would be deciding whether or not to pick one up in FA. just not the draft.

ummm....wow is this serious? holy crap I've thought I'd heard it all. Ron Edwards has been mentioned a freaking ton. You should probably read through threads before saying stuff out of your butt.
maybe someone should have read the OP before talking out of their butt? Why is it that every freaking mock I read online...
just sayin...
