Yes. Not really his fault hurney was dumb enough to give up what he did to convert a qb to a wr though.

I don't know how a guy who is a conditional late round pick which probably costs us little to nothing if he doesn't make the roster tells us anything about whether we dump a 3rd rounder from 2 seasons ago. We may dump Edwards for sure but not because of the trade. I think it tells us Gettis is slow to recover and we need some stop gap guys for this season.

More than likely. Murphy also provides better competition in camp than a handful of undrafted guys, makes guys like Gettis, Pilares, Tutu, AE and even Lafell work harder and get better. We needed a true threat to make the team for these guys to feel the pressure. None of the undrafted guys must have given off that vibe, at least not yet.

Probably we are just adding competition at the WR spot. I think after Lafell and Smitty every WR on our roster needs to be sweating a little bit.

Whoever performs over the next month will be here. Whoever doesn't.... see gif above.

I think today's move was more a Gettis move....competition/insurance for that type role player in this offense.

Edwards IMO was as good as gone when we drafted Joe Adams

as pointed out in other thread, it could also mean that we are getting insurance for possible trade of Gettis/Edwards to upgrade DL/CB

This doesn't even make sense to me. Why would we waste any pick for a guy like that. I felt like Kealoha and Joe Adams would take up spots. Kealoha could be in trouble now.

There is no reason to cut Armanti right now. Let him play through training camp, we don't gain anything by releasing him now.

There are no plans for Armanti on the permanent roster. None.

Considering AEs open market value....

Gettis may be slow to recover but they are also sold that AE is not an option going forward
