ugh, that is like asking people where the best ice cream in the country is, buying a plane ticket, flying, renting a car, driving an hour, then walking up to the counter and ordering a small vanilla cone.

lololol yes.

Weddington is the blandest place I've ever been...and I spent 18 years there.

h0llywood, traffic from Weddington towards downtown will be pretty bad if you are working in or around downtown or southpark.

Traffic is never bad here outside of rush hour though.

I have a wife and three kids. Part of my excitement to move is that I can finally afford to buy myself my Mustang that I got rid of when I had my last child. Day care here in CA costs me $900 a month for a 1 year old.

I'd rather spend 300-400k on a house with 1+acres and a backyard where my kids can run around and be free than live in the city and get fined whenever my dog barks. My wife and I have a lot of optimism and hopes for Charlotte.

I'm gonna go ahead and play realtor...look up the following neighborhoods:

Montibello

Chadwyck

Park Crossing

Mountainbrook

Beverly Woods

None if those neighborhoods are anywhere near the area he is talking about. South Meck HS sucks. I have 2 friends in park crossing and one in Montibelli. Both had to put their kids in private school because they were so unhappy.

Most of the people in our neighborhood work downtown . Takes about 30-40 minutes each way.

I have no experience with those schools, but they were not happy.

Weddington is quite boring but is great for families with young kids who want great neighborhoods, great schools, lower property taxes, and likes feeling away from the hustle and bustle when they get home.

However, like many said.....it all depends on what you are looking for and what is important to you .
