I had pretty high hopes for him, but his size/athleticism was always a concern.

Heard that Tyler Lewis has been less than impressive in practice so far. Can any NC State fans confirm/refute that?

I've heard quite the opposite. On the offensive end he's been every bit the player they thought he would be. Excellent court vision, precision passing and he has shown a better ability to shoot the ball than originally thought. Lorenzo is the team leader, but when he's gone, Lewis will be able to make a smooth transition to that role.
He does have quite a ways to go on the defensive end (but that was known before he arrived on campus). Practicing against one of the best PG's he'll see all year every day can only help though.
I'd look for him to get between 10-15 minutes per game this season, mainly spelling Lorenzo when he needs a breather.

Agreed, but next year is when I question Lewis with Cat Barber coming in.

According to Scout and @PackPride, top 100 center Dominic Woodson is down to N.C. State and Baylor:

I think it will be a good competition to see who wins the spot new year. Cat probably is better equipped athletically to play at this level. However, by all accounts Tyler seems to be a very smart player so it might not be out of the realm of possibility if he learns how to hide some of his short comings this season.
Either way I believe we are going to be set at the PG position for a few years.

Troy Williams committed to IU and according to Jeff Goodman they are going to be pressed for scholarships. If I had to guess I'd say we add Anya and Woodson. Kyle Washington is apparently going to be a 6'9'' SF for us so we still have needs for bigs. That would be a great class and hopefully very enticing for Julius Randle.
It'll be an either-or situation with Anya and Woodson
