Therefore, in order to mitigate risk, you have to increase the number of picks you have. It's just simple math. Our GM has the opposite philosophy. He gets fixated on someone and gives away future picks because he is certain he is going to hit a homerun. Our GM is stupid. You must acquire as many picks as possible if you want to improve your odds of building through the draft. Also, having more picks lessens the blow of any busts that you inevitably draft.
