as bad as u guys want a new head coach, OC etc. Keep in mind, coaching changes mean system changes. These players are just now grasping this system. Having a coaching now, would set this team back even further.

I'd only want Kelly with a monster of a DC. Like Rivera or Ryan level.

i've said the same thing. he has to be paired with a DC that has experience running a team either as a HC or a Asst. HC and they have to have years of experience, but they also have to be able to mesh with the program.

Cam is our leading rusher because our running backs were hampered with the delay at the line of scrimmage, due to the read option. DeAngelo almost had 100 yards rushing against the Chargers, and that is because he is getting more snaps away from the read option. The proof is in the pudding. This is the NFL, where everyone plays a million miles an hour. If there is any hesitation, the defense will be on it like nobody's business. Cam's indecisiveness and Chud's pace for the offense had little to do with D-Will and J-Stew being unable to run the ball this year. Another thing that killed the running game was a lack of a true fullback.

With Kelly, we will see pretty much the same offense we've seen for most of the year, or something just like it. With it, our running game will be dead. They might as well have me running the ball for Kelly's offense.

i'm not a fan of that either, but we can't avoid going forward because we're afraid of an adjustment time. the right coaching staff, though, would be able to get everyone on board and on the same page quicker.

just because this one took so long to work doesn't mean they all will. look at the other teams with massive changes in coaching and philosophies that got turned around quicker.

i'm not worried about it. they're big boys, they can adjust...esp. with the right coaching.

yeah but this coaching staff is showing promise and the team is moving foward, what happens if a new staff comes in and completly stinks. Its a huge risk.

Explain to me then why Cam is our leading rusher?

You do realize no QB for the Ducks have been the teams leading rusher, right!?

Probably not!

The ducks who go up against Pac-12 defenses or worse? Once the Pac-12 defenses are seen in the NFL, Kelly would have a shot. Yet as of NFL calibur defenses, there is no successful team, that runs a majority read option offense.

i think doing the same thing every year and expecting different results is risky as well.

Anybody that's saying a change of system is a setback doesn't know what the f they are talking about. I can name one team that hasn't been affected by changes and they are in our own backyard. When Mike Smith came to the Falcons they won 11 games that year and look at this year. They had a change at oc and dc and now they are in the runnings to become the #1 seed in the NFC. I am sick of sh@#.

no one is running it the way he would, and no...chud isn't.

and who has tried doing it?

and who says that chip would try to run the same offense in the pros he did in oregon?

In fact, Atlanta has been affected, they have had back to back winning seasons every since.
